As a School Cleaner, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for both students and staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning a variety of spaces including classrooms, offices, corridors, and toilets.

  • Vacuuming and spot cleaning floors.

  • Wiping down furniture, ledges, doors, and glass.

  • Emptying and sanitizing bins daily.

  • Cleaning and sanitizing toilets and bathroom fittings.

  • Mopping and spray-cleaning hard floors.

  • Dusting, removing cobwebs, and polishing surfaces.

  • Replenishing toilet supplies and other janitorial stock as needed.

  • Conducting deep cleans when necessary.

  • Ensuring windows are closed, lights turned off, and the building is secure after cleaning.

  • Performing additional cleaning tasks as required.

  • A basic understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly regarding the use of cleaning materials and equipment

  • The ability to work collaboratively within the school team

  • The capability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility in prioritizing tasks

  • Prior experience in cleaning duties would be advantageous

  • Salary: £12.04 – £12.53 per hour.

  • Permanent, Part-Time – 12 hours per week, Term Time Only.

  • Monday – Thursday 2pm – 4.30pm, Fridays 2pm – 4pm.
