About The Role

As a Digital Forensic Investigator, your role will be to examine and retrieve evidence from digital devices and media, following national and local guidelines using proprietary hardware and software. Conduct forensic examinations of digital devices and media, securing relevant data. Extract data for review by the Officer in the Case (OIC), facilitating understanding of evidential significance and assisting in investigations and court presentations. Prepare reports and statements, understanding rules of evidence related to seizure, preservation, and admissibility. Provide technical advice to CPS/Counsel and present evidence in court clearly. Offer technical guidance to colleagues during forensic examinations and interviews, assessing the validity of suspect answers and identifying potential weaknesses in statements. Applicants must be prepared to work with child abuse material, with support for wellbeing in this area.

About You

Are you educated to level 6 in Computer Studies or have equivalent experience in digital forensics? Do you have investigative and analytical skills? Are you familiar with various computer operating systems and file systems? Can you produce detailed reports? If so, we would love to hear from you!
