Who we’re looking for
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Star Governance team as a Governance Support Officer. You will work closely with key individuals involved in our decision-making process. We seek someone with exceptional writing skills, the ability to understand and present information clearly, and to manage and prioritize competing demands and deadlines. Working closely with our senior leadership team, trustees, Star Central staff, schools, governors, and other stakeholders, you will primarily support our trust or school committees by providing efficient governance support and advice that meets statutory and regulatory requirements. This will enable trustees or governors to make effective decisions and scrutinize trust or school operations effectively. You will be part of an expanding and professional team that will support your skill development in a collaborative environment. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or advance their career in the academy or corporate governance sector.
You will have:
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in editing documents, with the ability to correct spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors, and ensure clear formatting and presentation.
