The Role
As the Senior Manager, Developer Experience at NewStore, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our industry-leading, Omni-Channel Point of Sale platform. You\’ll lead a multi-skilled team in crafting a world-class developer platform that shortens time to value for our XP teams as we deliver exceptional shopping experiences.

The Role
As the Senior Manager, Developer Experience at NewStore, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our industry-leading, Omni-Channel Point of Sale platform. You\’ll lead a multi-skilled team in crafting a world-class developer platform that shortens time to value for our XP teams as we deliver exceptional shopping experiences.

What You\’ll Do

• Lead the developer experience team in delivering a cutting-edge internal developer platform
• Create and maintain a strong control environment, then go the extra distance to ensure that the developer experience remains slick and productive
• Break down silos and foster a culture of cross-team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
• Ensure the implementation of robust security measures for information systems
• Provide guidance and mentorship to empower team members
• Drive recruitment efforts to attract and identify top talent and build high-performing, multi-skilled teams
• Seek input and collaborate closely with internal engineering teams to ensure platform enhancements equate to developer experience enhancements

Your Story

• You are one of a rare breed who combine agile product development skills with cloud engineering and service management experience, enabling you to build strong partnerships with the developers your platform empowers.
• Seasoned professional with extensive experience building platforms to support a world-class developer experience.
• Experienced in building and guiding multi-skilled teams with a “Platform as Product” mindset
• Proficient in coaching and mentoring software & platform engineers
• Well-versed in agile development methodologies, including eXtreme Programming, and working in partnership with product development teams.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS
• Versatility in various programming languages and Infrastructure as Code tools
• Excellent grasp of cloud-native architecture, technologies and practices
