About Us

An exciting opportunity to join Learning & Skills. You will be based within the Strategy & Performance team. We are seeking a suitably experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team in providing administrative support. The successful candidate will be providing administrative support to the Strategy & Performance team as well as the Governor Support and Admissions teams and the wider Directorate as required.

About The Role

Pay Details: Grade 4 (SCP 5-7), £24,790 - £25,584, £12.85 - £13.26ph

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours, Monday - Friday

Main Place of Work: Civic Offices & Hybrid

Temporary Reason: N/A - Permanent

Description: The role sits within the Strategy & Performance Team where you will undertake a wide variety of duties that include co-ordination of meetings, minute taking, updating and collating information and data and data entry, undertaking follow up enquiries, communicating/liaising with officers, schools and parents/carers. Within the role, the successful applicant will also be supporting/co-ordinating processes/applications to support administrative functions for School Governor Unit, Admissions and Strategy & Performance Teams. Providing support for performance monitoring mechanisms and administrative support for complaints handling and Freedom of Information requests as well as developing and updating external website content for the Directorate.

About You

You will need:

  • Experience of undertaking administrative tasks to a high standard in terms of minute taking, supporting meetings and the dissemination and collation of information.
  • Experience of processing, recording and updating information and data using systems/processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative on tasks, but ability to discern when to sign post queries to relevant individuals in a timely way.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as an effective team player across teams.
  • Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Customer focused attitude with the ability to build rapport with officers, stakeholders and the public.
