Maison Boulud, from internationally acclaimed Chef Daniel Boulud, is looking for an Executive Chef to join the team. The Executive Chef is responsible for the overall quality and profitability of the restaurant and ensures that all personnel and systems function efficiently to satisfy guests, meet budgeted profit levels, and maintain employee morale. The Executive Chef works in partnership with the General Manager, communicates fully with the Corporate Chefs and the Director of Operations, and maintains relations with hotel personnel. This position supervises all back-of-house staff. It is a full-time, salary-based role.
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Six+ years of experience in high-volume or fine dining environments, preferably in a supervisory role
- Ability to interact positively with supervisors, management, coworkers, members, and the public to promote teamwork and maintain professionalism
- Ability to produce a high volume of work accurately, completely, and with high quality within deadlines
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, proportions, and percentages
- Practices food safety procedures actively
