Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN/HLTA's/tutors/teachers.

We are currently recruiting for KS2-KS3 Tutor to provide provision to a Student based in Suffolk.

  • Location: Suffolk
  • Position: 1:1 Tutor
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Ongoing - Until the end of the academic year, with potential of being extended.
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Hours: Up to 3 hours per day - 5 days per week (Monday - Friday)
  • Rate of pay: £25/£35 per hour
  • Term Time Only
  • During School Hours Only

We are looking for candidates who are:

  • Available during school hours up to 15hrs contracts per week
  • Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects
  • Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD
  • Exceptional behaviour management strategies
  • Prepared to work face to face within the community

This will be continuous and until the student is placed within a suitable school.

Requirements:

  • Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEN classes ranging from KS2-KS5.
  • QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years experience teaching NC core subjects
  • Two years of teaching in a UK school to SEN pupils
  • Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH
