What You’ll Do ️ Lead Cloud Architect (Freelance / Remote) CloudMeUp helps fast-moving SaaS founders go from \”barely hosted\” to \”cloud-native, production-ready\” in 31 days or less — guaranteed. We’re a lean, technical team building out high-performance systems for early-stage, high-growth startups, and we’re looking for a Lead Cloud Architect to guide our technical trajectory. This is a freelance , remote , client-facing role. You\’ll work closely with the CEO (a technical founder) and serve as both an architectural lead and a senior-level mentor. You’ll help us shape scalable cloud-native solutions and migrate scrappy MVPs to secure, production-grade infrastructure — fast. What You’ll Do Architect and guide end-to-end cloud migrations from on-prem or single-node deployments to AWS . Own architecture decisions for projects using EKS, AppRunner, ELB, VPC/Subnets, DMS , and queuing/messaging systems (e.g., SNS/SQS). Lead complex data pipeline builds — particularly ETL/ELT with AWS Glue . Set up and review environments for performance, resilience, and cost-effectiveness. Mentor and collaborate directly with the CEO , bringing top-tier cloud knowledge in a collaborative way. Write or review Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CDK preferred). Help troubleshoot, audit, and optimize live SaaS workloads during or post-migration. What You Must Have AWS Certified: Foundational, Associate, and Professional-level certifications (Solutions Architect Pro or DevOps Pro required). Deep experience leading on-prem to AWS cloud migrations (multiple successful projects). Expertise in: AWS DMS (Database Migration Service) AWS Glue or similar ETL tools EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) AppRunner Load Balancers (ELB/NLB) VPC, Subnetting, Route Tables Messaging/Queueing : SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Kafka Strong understanding of multi-AZ deployments, scaling patterns, and CI/CD workflows . Professional communicator — able to distill complex ideas into actionable, business-aligned insights. Bonus Points for AWS Bedrock or SageMaker experience Exposure to LLM-backed applications or AI/ML pipelines Experience working with influencer-led SaaS or personal-brand founders Familiarity with AppSec , compliance-light design , and high-growth scaling constraints ️ Working With Us Freelance contract only Remote (anywhere, async-friendly) Must have a registered business in your country or access to an umbrella company for invoice and tax compliance Paid monthly, flexible billing, long-term potential for recurring projects Collaborate with a small, high-agency team shipping real impact Sound Like You?
