We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Food & Beverage Operations Manager to take full responsibility for the daily running and long-term success of our F&B operations at The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa. This includes The Brasserie Restaurant (lunch & dinner), The Garden Room Restaurant and all Conference & Banqueting services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead from the front as a hands-on operator, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day running of all food and beverage outlets.
  • Champion a guest-first culture, ensuring exceptional service is delivered consistently across all areas.
  • Provide inspiring leadership to the F&B team, cultivating a welcoming and engaging work environment where team members feel supported and motivated.
  • Take full accountability for the financial performance of the department, including cost control, labour efficiency, and driving revenue across all outlets.
  • Implement and lead change initiatives to ensure departmental targets and guest satisfaction KPIs are met.
  • Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing team, ensuring all team members are well-equipped to excel in their roles.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with key internal departments, including Reservations, Sales, Marketing, and HR.
  • Uphold the highest standards of Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, and all statutory compliance requirements.

About You - Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an F&B Manager or Head of Department in a high-volume, 4 or 5 Red Star environment.
  • A hands-on leader, willing to work alongside your team and lead by example in a fast-paced, guest-focused operation.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and delivering financial targets.
  • A passion for service excellence, with a keen eye for detail and drive to constantly raise standards.
  • Experience leading and developing large teams and fostering a positive working culture.
  • Skilled in change management and driving continuous improvement across service and operational procedures.
