Location: Cheltenham

The Company: An established sub contract tooling manufacturer based in the Cheltenham area is looking for a time served Manual Turner to join their friendly team. The company supplies everything from individual components to complete tooling packages to suit the customers' individual requirements.

Duties:

  • Setting and Operating Manual lathes in order to produce components.
  • Inspecting own work to ensure quality is met (Vernier, calliper, depth gauge, micrometre).
  • Maintaining ISO9001 Quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Manual Turner for a minimum of 4 years.
  • Previous experience Setting and Operating Manual lathes in order to produce components.
  • Experience working to tight quality standards.
  • Duties would include facing to length, top turning, internal boring and finish turning.
  • Materials are stainless steel, Inconel, Titanium and carbon steels.

Working Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Fridays: Early Finish
  • Total: 37 Hours

Salary: £16.00 - £18.00 per hour, dependent on skill level and previous experience.

Benefits: 28 days holiday including bank holidays, Pension, Overtime available during busy periods.
