About the role

The position will be within the busy Property and Casualty claims team. The role is for a mid to senior technical claims handler. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of global casualty claims and providing assistance to the Casualty Advocate and Head of Specialty P&C as well as colleagues on the team.

About you

  • You should have extensive casualty claims experience, preferably in the London Market, with a strong understanding of the legal principles of insurance. Claims will emanate from General Liability, Product Recall, Contingency, A&H and various other associated sources.
  • You should be able to quickly build an understanding of a client’s business issues, insurance needs and expectations and use that knowledge in the management of their claims.
  • You will need to have the ability to prepare and interpret claims experiences and bordereaux.
  • The role will require detailed understanding of direct and Facultative insurance programmes and how complex shared and layers programmes operate.
  • You will be expected to consult with placing brokers, underwriters and clients on their claims experience and their overall insurance needs, whilst representing Lockton in the highest professional manner.
  • Professional qualification desirable.
