Flexible People Ltd are currently seeking a friendly Class 2 driver to work for our well-known client, based in Southampton. You will be working as a Service Ambassador to their clients and therefore a good level of customer service is required.
The shift pattern is 0700-14.45 (45 hours per week) and requires a level of flexibility as you will be working on a rolling rota, including weekends. This is a temp to perm role, whereby you work for 13 weeks via us and move onto a full-time contract directly with the client. When permanent, the annual salary is £37,159 per year.
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be expected to deliver and collect laundry and linen from places such as hotels, B&B's, hospitals, care homes etc. The used linen will be bagged up and ready for collection. The deliveries and collections are on cages but can sometimes be in bags, so you must be physically fit to deal with a certain level of manual lifting.
The right candidate must:
- Be the company’s Service Ambassador with our customers.
- Deliver and collect work, to and from the branch and our customers.
- Accurately record each customer delivery and collection according to current work instructions (via PDA or route manifest as applicable).
- Know and understand the scheduled delivery routes that you have been allocated.
- Ensure that all contact with our customers is honest, polite and helpful at all times.
- Execute daily vehicle checks and cleaning rota.
The right candidate must hold:
- Full Class 2 license.
- Valid CPC.
- Tachograph Digi Card required.
- Comply with the road transport legislation.
- Have the Right To Work in the UK.
- No more than 6 points on your license with no DR, DD or IN convictions.
