The Apps Support Analyst will support daily production batches. This requires research and identification from failed batches to resolutions at the quickest time. This is a business sensitive position that requires attention to detail and quick turnaround. Liaise between various support teams across multiple vendors to provide a seamless customer experience. This reports to the application support manager lead locally and globally. The responsibility is for all the job functionalities and ensuring that the support teams are addressing the production issues and informing the finance customers of any ongoing issues.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis of existing application protocols and software tools and actively engage with the various support teams for the smooth functioning of Citi’s business.
- Should have prior experience & should be able to debug any Database queries written in Oracle/SQL/MongoDB, ETL tool & Linux scripts.
- Provide application support oversight in resolving and troubleshooting problems.
- Provide and support recommendations for improved procedures and policies.
- Work with various vendors and ensure that issue resolution is as per Citi’s standards and there is timely notification to the customers for the ongoing production issues.
- Ensure that there is a seamless communication channel between the support and the development team for ensuring the production issues are fixed in a timely manner.
- Assist and support in achieving departmental goals and objectives.
- Provide advanced application support to effectively utilise the system infrastructure and resources.
- Provide direct assistance to users in using and interpreting software tools and products.
- Interact with software vendors to provide the best solutions to business problems.
- Ensure compliance with all security measures in application development processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in handling production support activities, identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Experience with handling ETL jobs in Sybase/Oracle with sound expertise in UNIX to identify issues at data level and trace file transfers from one system to another.
- Good expertise in database level analysis to trace issues to closure.
- Extensive experience in writing complex and efficient SQL DML statements.
- Aware of various scheduling tools.
- Managing ticketed query system and ensuring a comprehensive database of queries and resolutions is kept up to date.
- Delivering regular and customised training to teams within the business.
- Strong design & execution bend of mind to help resolve complex technical issues.
- Thorough understanding of ETL and relational database methodologies.
- Software engineering best practices.
- Passion for technology and self-starter.
- Strong writing, communication, time-management, decision-making, and basic task organisation skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage schedules under tight SLAs.
