The role is responsible for conducting the efficient and safe operation of machinery and equipment on the production line, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production targets and schedules. This involves operating and continuously monitoring production processes of the production line of responsibility, identifying any deviations or irregularities, and providing insights for optimization. Further, the role entails maintaining cleanliness and organization of the production area, complying with safety and regulatory protocols, and reporting any issues or maintenance needs promptly to supervisors.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handles the day-to-day operations of machinery and equipment of the production line, ensuring they are running efficiently and safely;
- Continuously monitors production line process for any irregularities or deviations from the standard operating procedures, keeping an eye on machine and equipment performance, and ensuring production targets and schedules are met;
- Provides key insights for the optimization of the production factors for the line (e.g., materials, methods, labour force, and machinery) to maximize efficiency and reduce waste;
- Keeps the production area clean and organized to comply with hygiene and safety standards, including regular cleaning of machinery and proper storage of tools and materials;
- Adheres to all relevant safety protocols and regulatory standards during the operation of machinery and throughout the production process;
- Reports any machinery malfunctions, production issues, or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly in order to effectively manage potential interruptions or slowdowns in the production process.
