Change Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded business in central Edinburgh to recruit for a newly created Accountant position. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative finance team in a varied role that offers real scope to add value across the business.
The role is primarily focused on management accounting duties and will suit someone with a strong foundation in monthly reporting, budgeting and variance analysis, who also enjoys business partnering and driving continuous improvements.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including prepayments, accruals and board reporting
- Prepare monthly finance packs and performance reports for senior stakeholders
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, reforecasts and statutory accounts
- Deliver detailed variance analysis and commentary
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts to trial balance monthly
- Deputise for treasury accountant, authorising payments when required
- Support on ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
Part-qualified, fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/CA), or QBE with relevant experience. Strong technical accounting skills, with excellent attention to detail. Confident communicator, able to explain financials to non-financial colleagues. Experience within a legal environment is a bonus, but not essential.
This is a permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary, great benefits, and a hybrid working week (1β2 days from the office).
