MTC Training is an award-winning Independent Training Provider delivering high-quality engineering apprenticeships and upskilling courses.

The Curriculum Leader (Higher Education) is vital in fulfilling MTC Training's vision. You will oversee a robust curriculum for in-centre delivery and support the work-based development of apprentices with employer partners. This role also involves leading Level 4 – Level 6 development and delivery for Apprenticeships and Higher Education courses. You will manage Engineering Trainers and Apprenticeship Skills Coaches, monitoring and reporting on learner progress from start to EPA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Line manage Engineering Trainers and Skills Coaches
  • Monitor, track, and report on learner progress
  • Develop high-quality teaching materials aligned with apprenticeship duties and qualifications
  • Support Level 4 – Level 6 course development and delivery
  • Conduct Internal Quality Assurance in collaboration with the Quality department
  • Mentor and coach new staff
  • Demonstrate inclusive and proactive professional behaviours
  • Assist in delivering an innovative curriculum meeting learner and employer needs
  • Provide Careers, Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance to learners throughout their apprenticeship journey
QualificationsEssential
  • Full teaching qualification and significant experience in education (F.E / H.E or apprenticeships)
  • Full assessor qualification (TAQA L3 or equivalent, with willingness to gain TAQA L4 within 12 months)
Desirable
  • IV qualification, TAQA L4 or equivalent
  • Engineering industry expertise (advantageous but not essential)
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification (engineering expertise advantageous)
  • Degree or Master’s level qualification
  • Experience in IQA/EAQ activities
