About the role The Senior ER Advisor is part of the EU HR team, supporting the UK business and collaborating closely with the ER team members. The role spans across Schools and Head Office/Group areas. Your personality and approach are just as crucial as your experience. You should be resilient yet adaptable, commercially minded yet empathetic, professional, driven, and focused on delivering practical ER advice. You will offer accurate, timely, and pragmatic ER guidance to line managers and colleagues across all UK Schools and Head Office/Group teams, contributing to the broader HR strategy implementation. This is a 12 month Fixed-Term Contract on a remote basis. Some travel within the UK will be required. For any queries, please email the Recruitment Team at recruitment@cognita.com Who we are looking for: The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practice HR, with the judgement to determine when a formal approach is necessary. You should hold a CIPD Level 5 or above qualification and have significant experience in an ER or Senior ER advisory role, including leading redundancy and restructure processes. A proven track record in end-to-end ER case management, encompassing investigation, disciplinary, grievance, performance management, and absence cases is essential. Additionally, you should have excellent Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, and strong listening and questioning skills.
