We are seeking an experienced MS SQL (Azure and T-SQL) Engineer/DBA to join our clients growing development team. Outside of IR35 fully remote and paying in the region of £350-400pd. This role will involve evaluating and improving the existing database design, improving the database performance and optimising any SQL views and stored procedures, maintaining the SQL database and providing support to the engineering teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the data management strategy, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and scalable solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing database support to developers, analysts and testers.
- Review Database SQL Git PRs and deploying these to production.
- Review database design to improve performance and maintainability.
- Ensuring database integrity and security.
- Maintaining SQL database and any SQL Jobs.
- Making data changes to the production database.
- SQL Performance, Optimisation and capacity planning.
- Managing database builds and rollouts.
- Management of SQL Backups.
- Management of Azure SQL server auto scaling, Azure Fabric and Azure Datawarehouse.
- Database Administration.
One off interview and onboarding within the next 3-4 weeks, initially for 3 months.
