The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected and well-known equipment rental business with depots throughout the UK. Reporting to the National Technical Manager (Lifting), you will carry out thorough examinations of both MEP Hire Assets & Customer Owned Assets both internally & externally, ensuring that the highest operational standards expected are met & maintained. All candidates must be based within reasonable commuting distance of Leeds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspections to MEP owned & customer owned assets within the MEP Branch Network locations.
  • Carry out inspections to MEP owned & customer owned asset within external locations.
  • Carry out certifications to MEP owned & customer owned assets.
  • Carry out asset audits.
  • Work as directed by the LOLER Inspection Team Administrator.
  • Assist our branch network in ensuring that our out of test MEP Assets are within acceptable levels and are addressed within the time frame set by the National Technical Manager.
  • Supply MEP Branch support and meet the requirements of the MEP Hire Network.
  • Travel regularly throughout the UK and stay away from your base location when required to complete examinations, audits, training & investigations.
  • Carry out other duties considered within your skill and competence levels to assist the smooth running of the business when considered necessary or appropriate by management.

What We’re Looking For

  • A valid driving licence.
  • Good analytical, validation and evaluation skills.
  • Good operational knowledge of hire products.
  • Good mechanical knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of workshop operations.
  • Competent IT Skills.
  • Basic numeracy & Literacy.
  • Knowledge of HSE, IPAF, LEEA, PASMA & HAE regulations.
  • Flexibility, the ability to respond to duties which may fall outside your normal working hours.
  • CSCS Card IPAF CAP & LEEA LEG or LMM Certificated (or the ability to achieve these within an agreed time period).
  • Relevant Certificated qualification desirable, however, directly relevant experience with a minimum 5 years would be accepted.
