A leading engineering consultancy is expanding its Energy team and is seeking Electrical Engineers with experience in High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) systems. Opportunities are available at Senior, Principal, and Associate levels.
The Opportunity
Work across major projects in transmission and distribution, supporting HVAC and HVDC systems from feasibility through to design and delivery. Projects span sectors including offshore wind, interconnectors, nuclear, utilities, data centres, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support technical delivery of HV/EHV projects (11kV-400kV)
- Conduct power system studies including grid compliance (e.g. G99, G5/5, P28/P29)
- Use industry-standard software (e.g. PowerFactory, PSSE, PSCAD, ETAP)
- Model both conventional and inverter-based generation systems
- Collaborate on bids and client-facing work, offering technical guidance
What We're Looking For
- Degree (BEng/MEng/MSc/PhD) in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering
- Chartered or working towards Chartership
- Strong technical background in HV design, modelling, and analysis
- Understanding of UK grid connection processes
- Proficiency in DPL, Python, or equivalent scripting languages (desirable)
