You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience. What you\’ll do at work Year one spent full time at IPS (college) and years 2 – 4 spent in each MKE(employer) department, gaining valuable engineering experience and skills from experienced mentors throughout the business. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills. College or training organisation IPS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED Your training course Maintenance and operations engineering technician (level 3) Year 1 of the Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard, the learner will attend four days a week within IPS Rochester workshop completing practical skills (Performing Engineering Operations) and one day a week studying the Technical Certificate. In Year 2, the Apprentice moves to day-release and will attend IPS one day a week to continue the Technical Certificate. Starting in Year 2 and continuing until completion in Year 4. The Apprentice will continue to receive regular training contact with IPS all throughout the programme Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician qualification upon successful completion of the apprenticeship Requirements GCSE or equivalent in: Requirements Essential qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: English, Maths, IT and Science (grade 4/C and above) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have.
