The role

At Elizabeth Scarlett, we are scaling our presence in the UK and US with the ambitious goal of raising £2 Million for Wildlife Conservation by 2030. We are looking for passionate, driven individuals eager to make an extraordinary impact and help us achieve this goal.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Office Administrator to support our daily operations and keep things running smoothly. In this role, you’ll maintain an efficient office environment and provide administrative support to staff. You’ll also play a crucial role helping onboard new team members, organise company events (including our annual team overnighter), and assist with exciting projects like our office renovation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of routine and variety, and takes pride in creating a well-functioning, welcoming office environment.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

  • Office and team assistance: Maintain the office environment, ensuring it is well-organised and fully operational, including arranging office repairs and managing relationships with service providers. Coordinate office decor, building works and workspace enhancements to maintain a positive and inspiring work environment. Liaising with our landlord and team on building & parking updates. Receive all incoming deliveries, ensuring they are put away, as well as posting out parcels and letters as needed. Manage office snacks, supplies, stationery, and IT equipment, ensuring everything is stocked and available for the team. Handle and monitor the office budget for supplies and general expenses. Coordinate office-based meetings and appointments, ensuring that the correct rooms are available at the right time. Greet and help to host visitors and clients (preparing refreshments etc). Assist with making travel arrangements, such as booking flights and accommodation and creating itineraries. Support Operations and wider team members with administrative tasks as needed, including customer service support during busy periods.
  • People team support: Support new hire onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition for all team members. Help organise company events and meetings - including the annual team overnighter. Liaise with the team to ensure they have the equipment they need to perform their roles. Assist with various projects - like our office renovation & redesign of our Career’s Page. Record and monitor team holidays & sick leave allocation. Keep our Digital Home up-to-date with team news, events, new starter details, etc. Support the team with our LinkedIn Content Schedule. Help organise the team’s Learning & Development Roadmap. Assist the People Team with administrative tasks as needed.

Our mission is to create joy by making exceptionally high-quality products that are inspired by nature, beautifully functional and adorned with hand-painted designs by our founder, Lizzie.

  • Redefining our brand into a standout memorable asset
  • Developing our product categories for commercial scale

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Willingness to work primarily from our Potters Bar (EN6) studio
  • Proven administrative expertise with demonstrated success in a similar office support role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally at all organisational levels
  • Professional telephone manner and excellent customer service orientation
  • Exceptional organisational abilities and meticulous attention to detail in managing documents, schedules, and office procedures
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently while prioritising tasks effectively
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative
  • Preferably a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional travel to collect parcels or orders locally.
