We are looking for an experienced Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck Driver who has their own licence (in house licences are accepted) With a proactive attitude and keen attention to detail to thrive in our dynamic environment. Candidates must have a valid and in date Counterbalance Licence. Duties : An experienced FLT driver, responsible for keeping the production lines stocked with raw material. Loading items to the correct quality standard, and in a safe manner. Offloading materials and items from delivery vehicles. Move stock/goods using forklift in warehouse. Checking the product off against dispatch paperwork and internal systems. Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of all the facilities and areas of the factory. Inspect machinery to determine any requirement for repairs and performing regular safety maintenance checks. Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs. Comply with Company policies and legal guidelines. To help prioritise workloads within the department / designated warehouse area. Must hold a valid Counterbalance licence. An understanding of safety regulations / safe use of equipment (FLT’s). Knowledge of paper trails and stores operating procedures. Safe stacking procedures. A good team player willing to undertake duties to support the department. Attention to detail in ensuring a high level of stock control, being able to spot and correct discrepancies. Advantageous to Have: Previous reach truck experience and certification. Manual handling training for correct lifting procedures (training will be provided) Knowledge of AS400 computer screens, e.g. for locations and quantities (training will be provided). Working conditions : Working within a factory environment with some dust and high levels of noise. PPE is mandatory and provided i.e. safety footwear, eye protection, ear protection (designated areas). The nature of the job can be physically demanding i.e. heavy lifting on a regular basis. 39 hours per week. Annualised hours pattern.
