The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.

This is a permanent, full-time role within ArtsEd. We are committed to transforming performer training for the modern industry. The appointed individual should ideally possess a balance of professional and teaching skills to ensure ArtsEd remains a leader in professional Musical Theatre training. The School of Musical Theatre offers a BA (Hons) and Cert HE validated by City, University of London. The current intake includes 50 BA (Hons) and 30 Foundation students annually, with funding from the Dance and Drama Awards scheme. The school also runs outreach and short-course activities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Music to uphold high standards in singing and musical education, fostering morale and cooperation within the busy Music department with a positive and proactive attitude.

Key responsibilities:

  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of young persons under your responsibility and contact.
  • Contribute to the efficient, safe, and high-quality delivery of Musical Theatre training.
  • Teach a range of classes from the current music and singing curriculum.
  • Maintain high standards in teaching singing, music, and related subjects throughout the School of Musical Theatre.
  • Participate in curriculum review processes as appropriate.
  • Be a member of the Musical Theatre School Executive team.
  • Serve as a Personal Tutor in accordance with the school’s Personal Tutor policy.
  • Possibly undertake additional pastoral responsibilities, including Head of Year duties.
  • Participate in external auditions and selection processes.
  • Engage in external concerts and events as required.
  • Assess student progress through written Critical Reflection journals, practical classwork, projects, and performances, including end-of-year assessments.
  • Monitor student attendance and maintain discipline within the student body.
