About the Role:

This role is perfect for a confident Teaching Assistant skilled in delivering communication through BSL and adapting educational materials to meet individual pupil needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 sign language support for a pupil within the classroom
  • Interpret spoken English into BSL to ensure full access to the curriculum
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt learning materials and visual aids
  • Support the pupil during teaching input and classroom activities
  • Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Track and monitor the pupil's engagement and communication development

Qualifications and Requirements:

Hold a recognised British Sign Language qualification (minimum Level 2 preferred) or have substantial experience using BSL in an educational or support setting.
