This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced editor to work on both print and digital platforms, managing content that informs and influences a wide audience of professionals. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Contribute to the evolving strategic direction and brand positioning of the publication, with a focus on features and reports, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of its readers across both digital and print formats. Content Innovation: Lead the move toward a more digital-first approach, optimising content for maximum digital impact. Leverage digital tools and software to enhance content and deliver commercial growth opportunities. Content Management: Oversee the efficient planning, workflow, and production of content, with direct responsibility for features such as Focus Ons, opinion sections, and supplier news and trends. Quality Control: Share responsibility for proofing and signing off key sections of the publication, ensuring the highest journalistic standards are upheld, while empowering team members to take ownership of their work. Columnist Management: Manage and grow a roster of regular columnists to deliver engaging, topical, and thought-provoking commentary and opinion. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a talented editorial team, ensuring effective development, quality, and smooth operations. Direct reports include the Special Projects Editor, FMCG Editor, Drinks Editor, and Fresh Foods Editor. Deputy Role: Step in as acting editor for both print and digital editions when required, representing the publication internally and externally. The Ideal Candidate: Proven experience in managing editorial teams across both print and digital platforms. A strong editorial background with a keen eye for detail, able to maintain high journalistic standards while driving innovation.
