We are looking for an ambitious editorial team lead, with a passion for medical affairs, to provide scientific and strategic direction for a fast-paced vaccine account.
The role offers the exciting opportunity to make a valuable impact by providing editorial leadership and scientific expertise across a variety of medical affairs projects. Key responsibilities:- Scientific leadership of a medical affairs and internal training account with opportunity for growth.
- Providing clients with a high level of scientific, strategic and creative expertise across a range of projects that cover medical messaging and strategy, alongside support for internal training and capabilities.
- Establishing and building positive long-term relationships with client teams and medical experts.
- Building collaborative partnerships with commercial counterparts and all other internal teams.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of client products and strategy, as well as the wider therapy area.
- Leadership and mentoring of editorial team members.
- Review of content developed by other team members to ensure alignment with strategy, a cohesive narrative and scientific accuracy.
- Managing editorial capacity planning for the account, anticipating peaks in workload to ensure adequate resourcing.
- Working with the commercial lead to understand brand strategy and client needs, contributing to account planning and the commercial success of the account.
- Supporting business development activities through relationship building and the organic growth of accounts.
- Previous agency experience leading or supporting a medical affairs account.
- A strong academic background in a life sciences subject.
- Excellent storytelling abilities – a creative thinker who enjoys finding new ways to communicate client data and scientific concepts.
- Confidence leading meetings and presentations, both internally and externally.
- A desire to contribute to discussions with clients on their plans and offer fresh approaches.
- Confidence to steer the client on the basis of our expertise.
- Strong team leadership and mentoring skills.
- Calm under pressure, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent editorial review skills, with the ability to provide constructive and encouraging feedback to team members on their work.
