The Company: They are an East Midlands based contractor who work within New Build, Fit Out and Refurbishment in commercial and industrial sectors, both private and public. Due to growth, they are now currently looking to recruit a Contracts Manager to work on commercial fit out projects nationwide and to be based out of the Leicester office.

The Role: The company are looking for an established Contracts Manager who has experience in fit-out and refurbishment construction projects. Ideally the individual will have the ability to manage construction projects from both a commercial and operational front, working alongside an experienced Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will be required to manage up to 3 contracts at any one time, with job values varying from £500k - £5m.

In this role you will:

• Oversee Site Managers that are tasked with overseeing the operational management of various commercial fit out projects up to the value of £5m.
• Take ownership for Health & Safety and Environment responsibility.
• Work closely with the pre-construction team on; SHE, Build ability and programme issues and review and comment on design information issues by both consultants and suppliers.
• Work closely with the Site Management team on each site to ensure that things run smoothly - an effective communicator is essential.
• Manage projects in line with the agreed finance and production targets and reports.
• Have key client-facing responsibility.

What we're looking for: The ideal candidate will be an excellent people manager with a hands-on style and be able to interact well with others. You will come from a fit-out construction background ideally have worked on commercial fast track projects. Will be able to demonstrate experience at senior management level and is flexible to travel.
