Electrician (Solar & Battery) – Dorset

Pay: £250–£350/day | Contract: CIS or Ltd Co Location: Dorset & Surrounding Areas | Regional Travel Included We\’re looking for experienced solar electricians in Dorset to join our mobile teams working across domestic solar PV and battery storage projects. This is a field-based, subcontractor role ideal for those looking for flexible, ongoing work in the renewable energy sector. Split 50:50 between new installs and maintenance, you’ll carry out everything from inverter swap-outs to battery checks and system diagnostics. Your Responsibilities Install, commission and maintain solar PV systems on domestic rooftops Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and inverter replacements Install and maintain battery storage units Support customers with system upgrades or warranty issues Work solo or in pairs, with jobs routed regionally around Dorset Maintain high safety standards and quality of workmanship What You’ll Need Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in electrical installation 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Solar PV install experience (essential) Battery storage experience (preferred) Strong understanding of DC and AC systems Full UK driving licence and own transport Own tools, PPE and public liability insurance Registered under CIS or operating via Ltd Co What’s on Offer Flexible subcontractor contracts (CIS or Ltd Co) Steady pipeline of solar and battery installation work Work close to home with regional jobs across Dorset Support from an experienced office team coordinating your routes Why Join SERT?
