Chief Operating Officer
International Alert
Location: London/Hybrid Working (minimum two days per week in the office).
Salary: Circa £95,000 per annum
We are seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our global Finance and Operations functions, driving operational excellence and delivering strategic impact in line with our strategy. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will have oversight of the Finance, IT, People and Risk & Governance. You will play a central role in fostering collaboration across our distributed teams, and ensuring robust governance, financial oversight, and risk management.
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified CCAB (Chartered Accountant) and you will also bring:
- Proven senior strategic leadership experience within the UK charity sector.
- Strong operational and governance skills, with a track record of managing risk and compliance in complex environments.
- Exceptional ability to lead and motivate geographically distributed teams while fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.
- Commitment to International Alert’s values, including gender equity, diversity, and anti-racism.
