A small law firm based in East Grinstead is now looking for an Accountant to join a highly dedicated, professional team. This role is office-based with plenty of free parking on site and reports to the Senior Partner. You will oversee the work of the Billings team and take full responsibility for all financial matters. Office based 3 days and 2 days work from home.
Responsibility of the Accountant Role:
- Oversee the full finance function, taking full charge of the accounts payable function
- Liaise with suppliers, setting up new suppliers and requesting copy invoices
- Bank reconciliation for 8 multi-currency bank accounts
- Inter company reconciliations
- FX reporting
- Review and post payroll journals
- Prepare year end accounts and liaise with auditors
- Deal with tax and HMRC queries
- Manage client account payments and allocating accordingly
- Calculate fee earners commission
Requirements of the Accountant Role:
- ACCA/ACA or CIMA Qualified
- Ideally from professional services background
- First rate financial and management accounts skills
- Systems implementation skills are a bonus
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
