We are seeking a Global Quality Governance Lead based in Manchester. The role involves enhancing the effectiveness of the Syngenta Crop Protection Quality Management System (QMS), measuring global quality performance via KPIs, and driving improvements in QMS deployment. You will ensure compliance with regulations and standards, and build a strong network and capabilities within the function.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Global Quality governance team to ensure and improve the QMS effectiveness through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with regional quality teams to develop and analyze global/regional Quality KPIs aligned with strategic goals.
- Develop and implement a global QMS audit plan, building a network of auditors and enhancing audit capabilities.
- Maintain and optimize the Quality IT systems (e.g., Reliance, SAP).
- Build a high-performing Quality governance team through talent development and succession planning.
- Establish and leverage the global quality subject expert network to support business strategies.
- Provide technical guidance to business development teams as needed.
- Create and promote a global Quality culture through regional engagement.
Candidate Profile:
We value engaged, collaborative professionals eager to develop. The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience with quality management systems in manufacturing or R&D environments.
- Excellent English skills; additional languages are a plus.
- BSc/MSc in Life Sciences or Engineering; advanced degrees preferred.
- Project management experience, especially in IT implementations, and change management skills.
- Operational quality experience and familiarity with quality software solutions.
- Certified Quality Auditor certification.
- Deep knowledge of quality management systems and scientific/quality software design.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

The role is based at our Global Operations Centre in Manchester, offering a hybrid working model with at least 2 days in the office. The environment is dynamic, inclusive, and diverse, with over 200 employees.
