Location: Luton

Salary: up to 28k

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Mon-Thur 0715-1630, Fri finish at 2PM

Holidays: 28 days including Bank Holidays + Pension

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of goods received and dispatched, completing relevant paperwork.
  • Assist with stock control and inventory management, ensuring stock levels are accurate and maintained.
  • Inspect products for quality and ensure they meet company standards.
  • Supervise the packing team to ensure duties are carried out effectively.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate with sales staff, team members, and managers to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Ensure resources and processes are functioning efficiently and effectively.
  • Seek approval and justification for any overtime worked.
  • Drive excellence and continuous improvement to maximize H&S, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
  • Use and maintain company systems for accurate reporting of stock levels.
  • Report and address despatch issues promptly, assessing potential impacts on the business.

Essential Requirements:

  • Physically fit, good timekeeping, and attendance.
  • Experience in despatch and stock control.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Proficiency in ICT applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to operate and use a forklift and picking truck.
  • Ensure the security of the unit, including opening and closing the building at shift start/end.
