Position: Senior Engineer or Civil Engineer
Location: Hinton House (minimum 3 days per week)
Hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical or Civil Engineer who’s self-motivated and can work alone on tasks without oversight. The candidate will effectively be a lone worker or part of a very small team (2-3 people) working on R&D solutions and MSSS. Siloes or possible ponds experience is essential.
Responsibilities of a Senior or Civil Engineer:
- Support to the Technical team responsible for managing the leak within MSSS Original Building
- Lead packages of work
- Work autonomously with limited support and direction (once up to speed)
- Perform work themselves
- Potential for ad-hoc support but no additional resources available for full-time support
- Scoping and specification of technical work
- Leadership of specific work packages (could be internally or externally delivered)
- NFR/report production and presentation
- Checking and review of other team member’s work
- Planning of future scope (e.g. transition from technical to design/projects)
- Regulatory engagement on allocated work packages
Experience required for a Senior or Civil Engineer (minimum of 4 points below):
- Technical Assessment and Review
- Study Delivery
- Strategy Development
- Technology Development / R&D
- Plant Trials
- Early design delivery (Study and Concept phases)
- Project or Programme Management
Essential background required for the role:
