Sr. Server Engineer -Hybrid, Oceanport/West Orange, NJ Req #: 0000198406 Category: Information Systems and IT Status: Full-Time Shift: Day Facility: RWJBarnabas Health Corporate Services Department: IT&S Service Support Location: System Business Office, 2 Crescent Place, Oceanport, NJ 07757 Job Summary : The Senior Server Engineer supports data protection infrastructure across assigned datacenters and related areas. Qualifications: Proficiency in Data Protection Technologies (Veritas, Cohesity), Windows Server and Desktop OS, Linux/Unix, VMware Hypervisor, Citrix, and related technologies is required. The role requires strong knowledge of server hardware (traditional, converged, hyper-converged) and storage technologies. Proficiency in scripting for automation and reporting, along with the ability to produce documentation and diagrams, is essential. Responsibilities include scheduling upgrades, participating in off-hour maintenance, monitoring infrastructure, and providing recommendations for improvements. Excellent communication skills and knowledge of IT security best practices are necessary. Scheduling Requirements: Full-time, Day shift, hybrid (3 days in-office at Oceanport or West Orange, NJ) On-call rotation 24×7, once every 4 weeks Travel between facilities as needed Essential Functions: Work effectively in a hybrid environment, provide excellent customer service, mentor peers, and handle multiple tasks with analytical skills.
