Our clients are a leading global supplier of high-quality interconnect products and solutions. This position is for an experienced professional with proven leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Regional Sales Managers and Field Application Engineers to increase the number and value of design-ins of the company’s products. While working with OEM accounts and distributors, the EMEA Business Development team will develop existing and new accounts, strengthen customer relationships, uncover new opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and grow the pipeline of significant opportunities, converting them into bookings and billings for the company.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Regional Sales Managers and Field Application Engineers ensuring high performance.
- Create revenue budgets and manage overhead budgets.
- Challenge and support the team members to achieve their KPIs.
- Assist the team in filtering opportunities to prioritize those of significant commercial value.
- Grow the total opportunity pipeline beginning from lead generation.
- Increase the conversion rate of opportunities into booking and billings.
- Conduct regular meetings with each team member to ensure they receive the necessary support and are meeting their KPIs.
- Frequently visit key customer locations and distribution branches, both with and without team members.
- Review frequently supports and performance of key accounts and adjust accounts list and support levels if necessary.
- Maintain regular communication with the VP of Sales EMEA.
- Establish relationships with end-customer decision-makers in development and purchasing departments.
- Understand customer applications and their future roadmaps.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, exhibitions and trade shows as directed.
- Provide quarterly a written report on sales achievements, customer projects, activity status, market trends, other significant activities from previous quarters and plans for next quarters of his department.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a minimum of 3 years of experience in leading technical sales teams.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of electronic, electro-mechanical, and RF components is advantageous.
- Ability to open doors with strategic and key accounts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively addressing any audience.
- The ideal candidate will be based in Germany or the UK and will work remotely.
- Ability to plan and undertake frequent international travel.
