Supports breast imaging services in a high-volume outpatient diagnostic center. Requires experience in breast ultrasound and breast biopsy procedures. Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures and provides high-quality care for patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric. Works in a fast-paced environment, relying on expertise, professionalism, and collaboration. Produces diagnostic ultrasound images according to department protocols under the supervision of a Radiologist. Interacts professionally and kindly with patients, physicians, and staff.
Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited Sonography program.
- Preferred: Years of clinical diagnostic ultrasound experience.
- ARDMS certification in at least one specialty required.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) required before orientation completion.
- Additional RDMS certifications preferred if department is accredited by ACR.
Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology for accurate diagnosis.
- Competence in performing all types of general ultrasound procedures.
