Position Summary The Site Medical Director serves as the responsible Physician and health authority in a correctional environment, overseeing clinical services to ensure appropriate medical care delivery. Essential Functions Consult with community medical providers to resolve service delivery issues. Supervise clinical staff and ensure on-call services are provided. Review and approve clinical protocols, policies, procedures, and disaster plans annually. Manage referrals to outside healthcare facilities for quality and continuity of care. Sponsor Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners per state law. Support clinical staff and participate in training and meetings. Complete and document patient encounters accurately and timely. Ensure compliance with formulary and documentation standards. Provide emergency treatment and respond to urgent situations. Maintain competence in CPR and AED use. Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited medical school. Full medical license in the state of employment. Current DEA registration. Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, with correctional or managed healthcare experience preferred. Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking). Supportive team player with leadership and decision-making skills. Schedule Part-Time, 24 hours/week.
