At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Communications and Project Assistant at our Hinkley Point C site. This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.
The role involves supporting the MEH Project Office, responsible for implementing communications tools that will grow productivity and efficiency within the organisation, and consolidating information that will enable the team to work more effectively. Day-to-day, you’ll work cross-functionally and collaboratively to produce presentations, facilitate online webinars, develop engaging content, and organise online events. You will ensure timely delivery of the MEH Weekly Highlights and Quarterly Newsletters, provide regular contributions to The Point newspaper (HPC wide publication), successfully execute events, workshops, and webinars, including conducting post-event evaluations, develop social media content to support recruitment and enhance brand visibility, and manage content for the MEH Alliance website.
Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role. This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week, and is based at Hinkley Point C, with hybrid working arrangements of three days in the office/on site and two days working from home.
Essential experience:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and excellent grammar.
- Diverse graphic design portfolio across various media and demographic targets.
- Skilled in editing and proofreading, ensuring high-quality content.
- Proficient in Office365 tools, especially SharePoint and PowerPoint.
- Capable of multitasking under pressure, meeting tight deadlines in fast-paced settings.
- Familiar with digital tools, including Canva, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media platforms.
Qualifications:
- Minimum NVQ Level 4 or relevant experience.
- Qualifications relating to Photography and/or Graphic Design is advantageous.
