What will I be doing?
As a Trainee on our First Step programme (suitable for recent school/college leavers), you will join our Audit & Assurance department to carry out substantive audit testing on financial accounts, reviewing their accuracy independently.
What will I learn?
During your training contract, you will study for an AAT, ATT, or CFAB qualification via a Level 4 apprenticeship, followed by an ACA qualification through a Level 7 apprenticeship, typically completed within five years. We provide comprehensive study support, including dedicated time off and mentorship from experienced colleagues. You will also develop soft skills and gain hands-on client experience from the start, including direct contact with clients to enhance your communication, time management, and first impression skills.
What experience do I need?
- On track to achieve at least 112 UCAS points (or equivalent) in your top three A-Levels
- GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 5 or better
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Strong MS Excel skills are beneficial

What happens next?
After applying, you will undertake initial tests (numerical and deductive reasoning) and a pre-recorded video interview, which we review personally. These can be completed at your convenience. Successful candidates may be invited to an in-person assessment centre, with confirmation within four weeks of test completion.
