Service Technician

Job Opportunity: Service Technician / Service Engineer We are seeking a skilled Service Technician / Service Engineer to join our client, a global engineering services company based in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will have experience with offshore and marine crane systems. The role is primarily based in Aberdeen, with travel to other sites as required. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a well-established team delivering high-quality service across international projects. The position offers a competitive salary, day rates, and a retention bonus. Package: Base salary: £30,000 – £35,000 Day rate for offshore assignments (OTE): £50,000 – £60,000 Performance and retention bonus 31 days holiday (including bank holidays) Private healthcare Responsibilities: Commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of cranes and lifting equipment onshore and offshore Diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems Performing rigging and lift planning activities Generating detailed service and inspection reports Ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards Requirements: Multi-discipline background or experience with crane OEM commissioning Minimum 5 years’ experience servicing offshore port or marine cranes Strong skills in electrical and/or hydraulic engineering Valid BOSIET certification Ability to work independently in remote or offshore environments Rigging certification (advantageous) Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings Additional Benefits: Day rate, yearly bonus, private medical insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
