About The Role
The Financial Services team within S&M&A Operations is a successful, growing, and supportive team that specializes in helping clients pre-transaction by assessing FS companies’ operations and technology, and identifying value creation opportunities. We also assist clients post-deal with fast-paced transformation programs, including planning operational separations and mergers. We collaborate with PwC’s wider practice (e.g., Transaction Services, Strategy & Consulting) as part of our go-to-market approach.
The team comprises both career consultants and industry professionals, welcoming diverse experience in our hires. The role requires some travel; however, our clients are increasingly accustomed to offsite work. We are committed to collaborative work at least 3 days per week, with flexibility based on mutual trust.
What Your Days Will Look Like
As a Senior Manager, your responsibilities include:
- Leading high-profile M&A transactions technology engagements, including IT separations, IT integrations, and technology due diligence projects, exceeding client and quality standards.
- Managing and delivering projects of varying sizes, developing project teams, assessing risks, driving conclusions, and reviewing outputs.
- Developing strategies to solve complex technical challenges.
- Proactively managing a portfolio of clients.
- Training, coaching, and supervising staff.
- Overseeing financial management of clients.
- Leading business development activities to identify and research new or existing client opportunities.
- Contributing to the development of technical skills within the team.
Skills & Experience Required
Either:
- Experience in an IT role within financial services or the financial services industry, ideally Banking, Payments, Insurance, or Asset & Wealth Management.
Or:
- Experience in IT separation, IT integration, or technology due diligence.
Additional competencies include:
- Knowledge of common IT application systems and infrastructure in financial services sectors.
- Understanding of IT's impact on business, especially during transactions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with senior leaders.
- Strong analytical and written skills, capable of supporting positions with evidence, even with incomplete information.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage ambiguity.
- Understanding of financial analysis and drivers of financial data.
