The BDM/Commercial Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of Green Facilities Management Ltd. This position requires a proactive and strategic individual with a strong commercial acumen who can identify new business opportunities, develop and implement effective strategies, and foster strong client relationships. The commercial manager will work closely with the CEO to achieve the company's objectives, particularly sustainable growth and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Business Development: Work closely with the CEO to identify, explore, and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's client base and market presence. Manage the tendering process for new work, including bid preparation, proposal development, and contract negotiation. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas.
- Strategy and Marketing: Develop and implement innovative business development and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets and enhance brand visibility. Utilise HubSpot to manage marketing campaigns, track performance, and optimise results. Assist in creating marketing materials and campaigns, ensuring consistent brand messaging and effective communication of our services and values.
- Operational Efficiency and Service Delivery: Optimise operational efficiency to ensure the seamless delivery of exceptional cleaning services to our clients. Monitor service quality, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance client satisfaction and retention. Collaborate with operations teams to ensure effective resource allocation, process optimisation, and adherence to quality standards.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and partners, acting as a trusted advisor and meeting their needs. Proactively identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients and develop new partnerships. Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring the highest levels of customer service.
- Sustainability Champion: Champion our commitment to environmental responsibility, promoting internal and external sustainable practices. Ensure that all business development and operational activities align with our B Corp values and environmental objectives.
- Proven experience in a commercial management or business development role, preferably within the cleaning industry in the UK.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets, winning new business, and managing client relationships.
- Experience in tendering for new work, including bid preparation and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in using HubSpot or similar CRM and marketing automation tools.
- A passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to ethical business practices.
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is desirable.
- Proactive and results-oriented with a strong drive to succeed.
