An exciting opportunity has arisen as Royal Mail embarks on one of its most challenging Transformations in its history. In the realm of transformational change within the delivery function, the Change Deployment Manager plays a pivotal role. This individual is expected to possess a comprehensive understanding of the delivery operation, including its systems, processes, operating model, and tools such as geo-route.
About the role:
- Use the Delivery Revisions process & task-lists to work with the COMs (and during USO the OPL Change Champion) to deploy an optimised revision to the required quality and timescales, realising full benefits.
- Agree roles and responsibility with all interested parties upfront to ensure smooth deployment - raising where colleagues are not undertaking their allocated responsibilities.
- Review unit base data and support COMs to ensure their base data is accurate and the unit readiness checklist can be signed off to time.
- Create optimised duty sets covering both indoor and outdoor workload based on IWT, best method/layout and optimised outdoor routes using GeoRoute.
- Lead the deployment of smaller commercial change where briefing, communicating and tracking of the change is required.
- Follow all nationally agreed processes/national agreements relevant to the change being introduced.
- Work with the key stakeholders/end users to ensure that engagement and communication activity is carried out in line with activity work packages.
- Work with stakeholders to highlight and resolve any risks and issues and barriers to making changes.
About you:
- Georoute Practitioner level competency.
- Duty Manager Practitioner level competency.
- Detailed knowledge of delivery systems - IWT, Delivery Duty System (DDS), model week tool, Route Manager, Floor layout tool, Frame labelling system and fulfilment process.
- Proficient user of QlikView apps including PDA OA and Delivery Opportunity app.
- Knowledge of IT systems - Microsoft products, SharePoint sites.
- Good analytical, planning, and organisational skills.
- Excellent engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly and to explain technical outputs to stakeholders.
- Project Management skills - planning, tracking progress, stakeholder management, risk and issue management, benefit realisation.
- Change Management skills - creating awareness and a desire to change, able to articulate the change narrative, managing resistance and being able to influence.
- Desirable - knowledge of the delivery revision process and operational standards within the delivery function.
Experience:
- In depth understanding of the operation with experience of working within this environment.
- Experience of deploying successful operational change within the operation.
- Experience of Project Management - planning, stakeholder management, communications, risk and issue management, benefits achievement.
- Experience of working with trade union representatives and influencing them to gain agreement to change.
