Role: Sales Engineer (Data Centres)

Contract type: Full time, permanent

Carrier UK now has an opportunity for a Sales Engineer based ideally in the South East. You will form part of our Applied/Equipment sales team and the main goal of this role is to develop new business and grow sales in the data centre market.

What will I be doing as a Sales Engineer?

  • Effective Key Account Management of Data Centre vertical market sector
  • Target and identify new/potential direct account customers (Installers, M&E) &/or specification accounts (Consultants)
  • Grow the overall business quoting and selling products from Hydronic products to Airside products.
  • Offer guidance and assistance on the correct use and application of our products
  • Offer industry knowledge and guidance on legislation to ensure future protection
  • Conduct joint sales calls when necessary with direct sales team to assist in development of our vertical target markets.
  • Ensuring regular customer contact, travel will be required
  • Reporting & Administration
  • Work in conjunction with the current direct sales teams to gain market share and presence within the allocated sales region.

Requirements

  • Technical knowledge of HVAC industry, in particular hydronic chilled water and airside products.
  • Strong sales background in HVAC dealing with associated installing contractors, M&E’s &/or specification consultants
  • Competitor knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • UK Driving Licence
  • IT Literate with MS Office skills
