An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Night Hostel Assistant to join our Supported Housing Department. The department manages two hostels for families experiencing homelessness. We support over 100 families each year. We work with families to help them achieve their potential.

This role is responsible for being the first point of contact for residents during the night. You will provide a high level of customer service whilst trying to meet customer needs. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining the hostels cleanliness and will complete nightly cleaning tasks following a cleaning checklist.

You will work night shifts 8pm – 6am (4 on then 4 off)

We are looking for someone who is competant using different IT systems, can maintain high standards of cleanliness in the hostel, manage crisis and unexpected events, is proactive with health and safety issues and can build positive relationships with our families.

Experience of working with people with a range of support needs

Experience of cleaning and taking pride in standard of work.

The ability to resolve challenging situations in sensitive manner

Experience of Health and Safety

Ability to work with minimal supervision.
