Lead Data Engineer, £70,000 – £80,000 + benefits. Skills required include SQL, ETL, Data Warehousing, etc. This is a home-based role with one day a month at the Nottingham office.

Expanding SaaS product company seeks a Lead Data Engineer to be part of a team responsible for designing, creating, deploying, and managing data assets. The role involves guiding other team members to produce high-quality, efficient code.

Responsibilities Include

Work with Data Architects on technical delivery and functionality.
Design scalable, reliable data solutions.
Create and maintain data models, including data warehouses and lakes.
Manage data integration processes.
Mentor and train team members.
Participate in agile team activities.
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and BAs to understand data needs.

Skills Required

Experience as Lead Data Engineer or similar in a delivery-focused environment.
Ability to analyze complex problems and design solutions.
Knowledge of SDLC, testing, and agile delivery.
Proficiency in SQL.
Experience with data warehousing and lakes.
Knowledge of ETL tools and processes.
Databricks knowledge is a plus.
