PE Global is currently recruiting for a Configuration Support Engineer for our industry-leading client based in Desford, Leicestershire. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of mobile construction equipment within a highly respected organisation. The position is offered on an initial 12-month contract.
The Role:
As a Configuration Support Engineer, you will support both current and new product configurations. This includes maintaining engineering master models and bills of material, as well as supporting the implementation of design changes. You’ll be part of a dynamic technical team within the Building Construction Products Division, playing a vital role in engineering process improvement and product development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review engineering change data and documentation to ensure alignment with change management procedures
- Coordinate and communicate product changes with engineering, sales, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing teams
- Prepare and manage configuration documentation to support product development initiatives
- Assist in corporate engineering systems and continuous process improvement projects
Key Requirements:
- Experience in change control processes and procedures
- Proficiency in Teamcenter (engineering data management) and Creo (3D CAD) systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills within global, cross-functional teams
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and feedback
Preferred Experience:
- Prior engineering experience within a mobile construction equipment or similar manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with product development systems and processes
