Sales Assistant - landscaping merchants in Cambridge

Location: Cambridge

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM + Alternate Saturdays, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Are you passionate about customer service and have an interest in landscaping? We\’re looking for a friendly and proactive Retail Assistant to join a well-established Landscaping Merchants based in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy, dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

· Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, offering advice on products and services.

· Stock Management: Ensure shelves are fully stocked and items are properly displayed.

· Order Handling: Assist with customer orders, including picking and packing of items.

· Store Maintenance: Keep the store neat, clean, and organised, ensuring a safe shopping environment.

· Product Knowledge: Develop an understanding of the landscaping products and tools to help customers make informed decisions.

What We\’re Looking For:

· Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.

· Communication Skills: Able to engage customers and answer queries effectively.

· Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate stock handling and product display.

· Team Player: Willing to work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth store operations.

· Physical Stamina: The role involves manual handling and standing for extended periods.

· Knowledge in landscaping would be a plus

· Processing orders
