Job Summary
Salary: From £26,000
Hours: Rota between 7:30am - 8:00pm Monday to Friday, and 7:30am - 3:30pm Saturdays
Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet all outpatients and visitors
- Facilitate appointment requests and referrals
- Ensure complete patient demographic and financial information at check-in
- Assist with patient check-in as required
- Liaise with insurance companies for authorizations
- Collect payments using hospital's payment systems
- Manage cash drawer and reconcile cash
- Provide cost estimates to self-pay patients
- Encourage sign-up to the CCL MyChart App
- Communicate effectively with hospital departments
- Cross-train across all Patient Access areas
- Perform other duties as assigned
The department may require support across various functions including Contact Centre, Cashiering, and Pre-Registration.
Requirements:
- Experience in a patient-facing environment preferred
- Experience with hospital booking software preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to adapt and work independently or in a team
